Time Keeps on Slipping!

THREE weeks!  That’s how long it’s been since Dan went into the ER.  It seems like forever and a day ago.  Life changes so fast…truly in the blink of an eye.  Our life is different now somehow, and yet a lot stays the same.  I feel an extra air of appreciation, thankfulness and an awareness of the finite.

We are learning, growing, changing, trusting.  This morning I have ‘moments’ on the brain.  It’s time.  Time to really, truly, thoroughly enjoy the moments.

Here’s my anthem today:

Use the good china…you know the stuff you got for your wedding that you maybe use 1x a year?  Get it out!!  Celebrate something today…even if it’s getting to be together for a meal.

Smile.  It doesn’t take much to make someone’s day and maybe that’s all they need.

If you wake up with someone on your mind, let them know.

Appreciate someone?  Tell them.

Dance.

Sing.

Be silly.

Dress up.

Play.

Surprise someone with dinner.

Step outside my comfort zone.

Love extravagantly.  I like this one best of all.  Extravagant to me means way over the top. What if our lives were marked by ‘over the top’  love, more than was expected or needed or deserved?  A love that reflects God’s love of us.

Why wait for a tomorrow that may not come?

Do something today.
